don't do this

the most terrible thing you can do in life is make someone hate their own being.

Praises all the time

I praise you in this dark hour. You are glorious, even in the pain you allow. It hurts, and no end seems in sight, but you, Oh Lord, are mysterious in your ways. You turn the bleak into bright, the dead into life, pull us out of toil and strife. This pain is here, and I thank you for it. I hate it Lord, but I know good will come, just as before it. I hate this so much, and I pray you take it from me. I will praise you in every thing I do, even if it is in pain and trouble. I love you Lord, help me walk in your path.

HWSA

When you think of Florida you think of it as hot, muggy, and beautiful landscapes and beaches. Well, Pensacola is a bit different this time of year. I don't even know if it broke 75 today, but it was perfect weather for baseball, no doubt about it.

We beat the number one seed from the Western Region, thanks to an absolutely amazing game pitched by Jake, who also dropped a three run bomb. Feels pretty good to take down the giant. But we got some bigger ones ahead. We're ready, we'll do it. We're playing for a national championship, something we may never get to do again. Hopefully, Lord willing, we'll come out on top in our next few games.

Being seeded pretty much last, it feels good to be able to hopefully make it deep into the tournament. I'm hoping for top four, but we'll see within the next few days what happens. That's all I got. Though no one will read this, it will be fun to come back to at some point to remember the feeling of being here and the memories that come with it.

easter vs. christmas

Christmas is way more celebrated than Easter is. The spirit of Christmas is born the day after Thanksgiving and then runs through the New Year. The birth of Christ is very important in the Christian faith and I understand why it is so important to celebrate. But the birth of Christ is not what Christianity is about. The crux of it all is the death and moreover the ressurection of our Christ.

So why is Christmas celebrated so much more?

Is it because of the three Magi? Well why can't we give gifts, or "sacrifices" if you want to call them that, on Easter to celebrate the price that Christ paid for us?

I just can't come to grips with why in the world Christmas seems so much more important to Christians everywhere, when the Easter story is the entire foundation for our Faith!

do not give into the flesh

when we are renewed through the power of the holy spirit, we then realise our carnality. we get sick of it and want it to change. the more we are in the spirit, the further we push our carnal instincts away. holy spirit be with me today.
