Christmas is way more celebrated than Easter is. The spirit of Christmas is born the day after Thanksgiving and then runs through the New Year. The birth of Christ is very important in the Christian faith and I understand why it is so important to celebrate. But the birth of Christ is not what Christianity is about. The crux of it all is the death and moreover the ressurection of our Christ.
So why is Christmas celebrated so much more?
Is it because of the three Magi? Well why can't we give gifts, or "sacrifices" if you want to call them that, on Easter to celebrate the price that Christ paid for us?
I just can't come to grips with why in the world Christmas seems so much more important to Christians everywhere, when the Easter story is the entire foundation for our Faith!
